For the 1989 season, rather than relying again on the chassis built by march, Nissan R89C had developed the model with Lola. The car had a monocoque chassis kevlar and carbon fiber equipped with the new 3.5L V8 biturbo engine DOHC VRH35 Nissan delivering up to 950bhp.
