The Jaguar is a prototype sport XJR12 born in 1990 to replace the XJR9 This model used a monocoque chassis crbono fiber. The engine was a V12 with 2 valves per cylinder. In 1990 6-liter displacement was the IMSA version and version 7 liters in group C. These values were increased in 1991 to 6.5 liters in the American version and up to 7.4 liters in the version group C. Its weight was respectively 930 and 1000 kg. XJR12 was used by Tom Walkinshaw mainly for long races like Daytona and Le Mans Sebring in which showed excellent consistency and reliability. The car achieved excellent results: In 1990 they finished 1 and 2 ranked within 24 hours of Daytona and Sebring 3. Later, in 1991, ended 2, 3 and 4 ranked in Le Mans and 2 at Daytona in 1992.
