The Porsche 962 is a sport-prototype created to replace the already successful Porsche 956, in order to be able to race in the IMSA and WSC Group C.

It was one of the most successful racing cars in history and won several races around the world:

- Sport-Prototype World Championship in 1985 and 1986

- 24h of Le Mans in 1986, 1987 and 1994

- IMSA GTP Championship in 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988

- 24h Daytona in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1991

- 12h from Sebring in 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988

The regulations of the IMSA "GTP" required some modifications regarding the Porsches designed for Group C.

The front axle moved 12 centimeters forward, so the driver's feet were behind the wheels. The 6-cylinder boxer engine had a displacement of 3.2 liters, air cooling, a single turbo, 2 valves per cylinder and a camshaft.

Equipped with EVO-6 chassis, V12 / 3 engine in In-Line position and a ratio of 9/28 teeth, all together with the rest of high quality parts.

This car, driven by Derek Bell, Al holbert and Chip Robinson, participated in the 1998 edition of Daytona 24 hours, painted with the famous colors of the Milwaukee brewery.
