Description

The Slot.it O204b – oXigen PC USB Dongle without software is the essential USB interface to manage the digital oXigen 4.x system from your computer. It allows you to control races, update device firmware, and configure chips and controllers compatible with version 4.x.

Main features

• Compatible only with oXigen version 4.x (not compatible with 3.x software).

What you can do with this dongle

• Manage oXigen races using the Chrono RMS 4.x software on PC.
• Operate and configure oXigen devices with the Slot.it Bootloader 4.x application.
• Update the firmware of older oXigen devices (SCP2 cartridge, chip B1, etc.) within 4.x versions.
• Use it with oXigen systems fully updated to oXigen 4.x with better performance compared to the old dongle.

What you CANNOT do with this dongle

• It does not work with Chrono RMS 3.x or with Bootloader 3.x.
• It cannot update firmware of older oXigen devices within 3.x versions.
• It cannot be used to migrate chips and controllers from oXigen 3.x to 4.x or vice versa; for those migrations you need the O204a dongle and specific procedures.

License and activation (important)

This product is sold without license and without preinstalled software. When you connect the dongle and use Bootloader 4.x, the oXigen 4 firmware is programmed and a MAC address is generated for that dongle. The license is purchased separately (for example, in the official Slot.it store on eBay) and is delivered as a license file linked to that MAC. Without that license, the dongle is not activated and cannot be fully used with the oXigen system.

If you opt for the DIY route, you can buy the dongle on platforms like eBay for approximately 15–20 EUR. Please note that the cost of the license is separate from the price of the dongle.

Note for the customer: if you are still using oXigen 3.x, this dongle is not compatible. Make sure your system is updated to oXigen 4.x before purchasing.
