The LC2, designed by Dallara, was the Lancia car for its participation in the world of sport prototypes. His participation took place for the first time in 1983 according to the regulation of the Group C. It was propelled by a Ferrari engine that was derived from those of the 288 GTO with an electronic management of the motor very advanced for the time. The engine was a 3-liter V8 at 90 °, cooled by water, with two turbochargers that could work at a maximum pressure of 3 bars, with four valves per cylinder driven by a double overhead camshaft.
