In 1981, the English team Emka Productions participated in the 24H of Le Mans with one of the Bmw M1 Gr.5 supported by BMW UK and sponsored by Hawaiian Tropic. Their pilots, Eddie Jordan, David Hobbs and Steve O'Rourke with the number 53, could not finish the race due to a breakdown in your engine
Equipped with the new chassis RT-3 MWB (Medium Wheel Base), engine SC-08 Sidewinder in position, with a ratio of 12/32 tooth rear aluminum wheels, tires RT, and pivot axes calibrated spring guide.
